Complete and Accurate Jerry "The King" Lawler



Out of all the Complete and Accurates we have done so far Jerry Lawler is the biggest star and probably has the biggest consensus as an elite wrestler. My motivation for this project is to see if he stands up as real GOAT candidate. Does Jerry Lawler have the matches to stand up with the all time greats? I am looking forward to revisiting some classics, and checking out some hidden gems. I am going to limit this to competitive matches, as I am not sure how many Lawler v. Rough or Lawler v. Ken Raper's I can write up. Some of the matches will be C+P'ed from other places, some of those will have Tomk and EricR comments as well. As always matches will be broken down into EPIC, GREAT, FUN and SKIPPABLE.

    Pretty awesome that you've chosen Lawler for your next CaA guy. Should be interesting to see how many hidden gems you come across, because I get the sense there's potential for a bunch of really good WWF matches to show up that people have skipped over in the past. Having just finished the Texas set today, I'm also really interested in hearing about early 90s Lawler as well.

    Interesting that the year with the most matches by far is 2011.

    Is there a complete version of the Eddie Gilbert "Jimmy Hart leaves town but it's actually T.H. Hart at ringside" match? I've only seen a clipped version. If there's a full version, that might be nice.

    The Tommy Rich match is on a Schneider comp. Go to DVDVR for more info. I have not been able to find the Hart leaves Town match in full. I uploaded a ton of matches for Phil and Eric to watch. Bug Phil about the Romeo Roselli matches!
