If the World Hate You, You Know That it Hated Yoshiaki Fujiwara Before You

Yoshiaki Fujiwara v. Don Frye NJPW 5/6/98- GREAT

Really fun style battle, it reminded me of the kind of things that Fujiwara did earlier in the 90s in PWFG. Frye is ridiculously charismatic and a totally under rated fun wrestler. This was worked like you expect it to be. Frye comes in throwing haymakers, and Fujiwara looks to take him down and tap him or choke him out. I loved how Fujiwara would counter Frye's head shots with shots to the ribs and stomach. Eventually though Frye caught Fujiwara before Fujiwara could catch Frye and Fuji does this great fade out KO sell. Pretty short, which kept it from an EPIC rating but this was as good as it looked on paper.
