Wednesday Night Bootleg- Regal v. Bryan

One of the great things about the state of wrestling fandom in 2011 is the easy availability of footage. House show wrestling was previously limited to paying customers or occasionally HH DVD's. Now with youtube there is much more available stuff. So we will be finding it, embedding it and reviewing it every Wednesday Night

William Regal v. Daniel Bryan Austria 11/10/10

This was pretty much the dream match folks wanted to see when Danielson signed with the WWE, we got some tastes on TV, but this is the longest singles match that has shown up. The highlight was all the early exchanges based around each guy attempting to secure a wrist lock. Both guys had some neat twist and turns on the hold, check out the especially nifty counter Regal breaks out at 4:34. When they got to their feet it was more of a standard WWE match, although a really slickly worked one. I would have liked to see Regal break out a little more brutality, although his forearms were nice stuff. Finish was very cool with Regal attempting to steal it with a backslide, only to get maneuvered into the LaBell lock. Not a off the charts match, but definitely delivers what it promises.

Great match, it'd be nice for these two to have an epic ppv match. When Bryan came out to War of the Valkyries, I was thinking how neat it would be if there's some Regal/Fujiwara match from mid 90's New Japan.
