Blame it on Super Dragon, Cause he Says it Gets Funky When You Got a Subject and a Predicate

Super Dragon vs. Samoa Joe PWG 8/14/04 - GREAT

Nifty match which told a great story of the bully Super Dragon, running into the even bigger bully Joe.  This was in the middle of Joe's ROH title reign and he was coming back to the West Coast as the conquering hero. Dragon tries to smack him around and stiff him, and get met back with even bigger shots. Say what you will about Dragon, but he isn't afraid to take it as good as he gives it. He gets hit with some nasty slaps and punches here, including some big stiff slaps to the back of his head. Dragon did get some moments of offense, hitting a teeth loosening lariat and even landing a top rope double stomp onto Joe's head. Finish was really cool with Dragon hitting the violence party, only to get thrown over the top rope with a belly to belly and landing hard on the wood parquet. Dragon tries to get back in the ring but ends up collapsing unable to answer the count. Loved the way they told the tale, and the moves were brutal, just thought it could have been a bit shorter, if the pace had been pushed a bit this could have gotten into all time classic territory.

COMPLETE AND ACCURATE SUPER DRAGON

Great match. The 2/12/05 rematch played off this beautifully, with SD digging deeper than he did here. (Their third match disappointed live but I haven't rewatched since)
